I have specialised in Intellectual Property Rights since the commencement of my legal career in the year in 2002. Since then I have been specializing in protection of Trademarks, Copyrights and Industrial Designs and have advised the Entertainment & Advertising Industry on Brand Protection and Copyright issues. In my over a decade of experience, I have been actively involved in Intellectual Property Litigation in trademark, copyright and design infringement/passing off matters in India and have been a part of matters materializing into fundamental decisions. I have hands-on experience in handling all trademark and copyright prosecution including filing applications, oppositions, assignments etc. I also have proficiency in handling disputes pertaining to Domain Names and anti – cyber-squatting and have been actively involved in matters falling under INDRP and UDRP with the .IN Registry of India and WIPO and have obtained landmark decisions in such matters. I have done criminal enforcement of IPR and have been a part of vital raids and seizures. I also have experience in anti-counterfeiting matters and have been liaising with the Customs authorities for border protection. In my 17 years I have worked with top firms including Remfry & Sagar, Dua Associates, Sen-Oberoi and Anand and Anand. And now my own venture IP SUTRA, I have handled IP portfolios of varied clients some of which are Burger King Inc., Hilton International IP LLC, Choice Hotels, Danone, Hindustan Unilever & Unilever PLC, Rasna Industries, FitFlop Inc., JCB Excavators, Luxottica, Somany Tiles, Banyan Tree Holdings, Chanel, Dabur, Cargill Foods Pvt.
